Combat Suit
The combat suit was a dark purple while certain panels were a light mauve. The trousers and jacket were separate. The jacket zipped up the front and was made from Kevlar and leather. The trousers were made from the same material and had extra material in the seat and joints. On her hands, she wore mauve leather gauntlets that were thin and made handling the bow and arrows easier. On her feet, were purple boots that extended to just below her knees. The hood was purple and came down to put her face into shadow. Around her eyes, she wore black war-paint.

“Forty percent of his body’s covered in scar tissue, slightly less for her. Second degree burns on his back and arms – the same for the girl. X-rays show at least 12 fractures, seven for her, that never properly healed...” the doctor explained.
It was still as well toned as it had always been, but what was once soft, virgin, skin was now covered liberally with scars. There was a brand on one arm, numbers tattooed on the other. I had several healed bullet wounds and I had a jagged scar across the front of my left thigh.
